GRAS Board of Directors

David S. Baker,
Director, Co - Founder

David was born and raised in Sacramento. After high school he became a competitive cyclist, attending camps at the Olympic Training Center and turning professional for two seasons. David did undergraduate studies in History and Philosophy at UC Berkeley, and worked in the online publishing industry for Pearson Education in San Francisco.

Upon returning to Sacramento, he fell in love with food and the food community while working with the Selland Family of Restaurants. He currently does graphics and runs the wine department at Selland's Market-Café. David is still an avid cyclist, who loves the Slow Food Movement, California history, and who considers himself a 'struggling artist.'
